                                          Melanie "Sis" Burdick
I have continuously worked as a successful Realtor since 1990.  I was encouraged to get into the business by Ruby Warner who was the broker and owner of Ruby Warner Realty.  She knew me as a waitress and felt that I would do well dealing with people and that I could provide friendly and efficient service to my clients.   I was looking for something that I could do when I got too old to be a waitress, figuring it was time to use my education and not just do physical work.  Needless to say 25 years later, I am still serving people in both capacities.

Every since I was a little girl I have been called “Sis”.  Being the only girl with three brothers I still carry that name.  I am a third generation graduate of Mendocino High School.  I have always participated and observed what is happening in our local school systems since my son, Bobby, attended school in Mendocino.  One of my proudest moments was in June 2014 when my grandson, Bobby Jr., graduated as a 5th generation graduate.  My granddaughter, Brice, will graduate in 2016. This will be exactly 100 years after her great-great grandfather graduated.

In late November of 2014 Bobby and I decided to open Burdick Realty.  I obtained my Brokers license in 2004 but always chose to work as a Broker Associate under another Broker.  It was time for a change for us.  It was time for us to put our 40+ years of combined experience and our local knowledge into our own business. We had already successfully worked as partners for years.  Our reputation has always been the utmost priority in our real estate transactions.  One of the big pluses that we have is that we are knowledgeable about Mendocino’s local history.  It is always exciting to tell clients what we remember about Mendocino and the Coast as we grew up. 

With our careful attention to details of offers, contracts and closings, as well as the current market and area, we can assist you in making your real estate transaction smooth and successful.

                                                         Bobby Burdick

I have been a Realtor on the Mendocino coast since 1997.  I was encouraged by mother to become a real estate agent. I have worked with my mother Sis Burdick for many years serving people in our community.  I started working with her at Little River Inn at the age of 13 as a busboy.  She was the head waitress and showed me how to make people enjoy there dinning experience.  The day I turned 18, I was promoted as server.  Being a waiter taught me the value of serving people, being friendly and most of all, do everything I can to make the customers experience an enjoyable one. 

I graduated as a 4th generation graduate at Mendocino High School.  I later donated 4 years of my time to being a coach for a very successful baseball team at M.H.S. between 2001-2004.  I also donated my time as a football coach for two years.  It was a great way to give back to a school that gave me a great education.

I have used my past experiences to teach my clients the real estate market in the Mendocino area.  I will serve you well as your Realtor.  My knowledge of the Mendocino area and experience in the public will make your real estate experience a very enjoyable one.
